" There will always be a thousand reasons why to lay down and die, but if you can think of just one to get back up--why, that makes all the difference." --Stephanie Campbell
Now is the time to find that reason to stand. When there are thousands of reasons to fall down and stay down, find that one reason to stand up and fight. For it is the fighters that will succeed and thrive. I hope your Christmas was wonderful, and I wish you the most prosperous New Year!--O

Thought of the Week 12/21-12/27
" There are two ways to face the future. One way is with apprehension; the other is with anticipation."-- Jim Rohn
The future is coming whether we like it or not! There is no need to feel scared about it, all we can do is be as ready as we possibly can and attack it. It is a great feeling to be prepared for something, try being prepared for the future. Have a Wonderful Christmas! --O

Cherish your vision and your dreams, as they are the children of your soul, the blueprints of your ultimate achievements. -- Napoleon Hill
The Big thought here is... DON'T GIVE UP! Keep your dreams alive, because they are from your soul, and ultimately they are the parents of your great achievements in life. Without dreaming of something first, you can never achieve those things you want to get done in your life. --O

Thought of the Week 12/7-12/13
"We need to internalize this idea of excellence. Not many folks spend a lot of time trying to be excellent." -- President Barack Obama
The pursuit of excellence leads to positive things in your life. So many of us give mediocre effort to everything in our life, whether it be our jobs, our relationships, even things for ourselves. By putting forth an excellent effort in life, really internalizing that, you will light a fire that continues to burn within. Pursue excellence. Have a great week!-- O

Thought of the Week 11/30-12/6
“Life is a tale told by an idiot -- full of sound and fury, signifying nothing.”-- William Shakespeare
Its funny how William Shakespeare could make a statement that still is applicable today. Most of "life" is just a roaring noise that people place value on, but really signifies not much. If we can sift through the noise and find the right things to concentrate on, we can really excel in life. So this week, find your way through the noise and look for the quiet, serene, moments of real life. --O

Thought of the Week 11/23-11/29
"In order to succeed you must fail, so that you know what not to do the next time" ~ Anthony D'Angelo
Success and failure rolls through my mind a lot. Perhaps it is because so much time in this life is spent quantifying your time here into a success or failure. The line between the two are so thin, yet there is a world of difference in how you are perceived if you succeed or fail. But what we must remember is that even though the perception between the two are great, there are just a few little missteps that separate the two. If we can recognize those, we ultimately can define our own success. Have a great week and a wonderful holiday. --O

Thought of the Week 11/16-11/22
" To taste the real flavor of success, we must combine failures, passions and courage all together in one action."-- John Pangalila
Many people look for the recipe to success. It really differs for everyone, but there are some main ingredients: Failure, Passion, and Courage. Some people think that failure is not a part of success because of the juxtaposition of the words, but you really don't know success without failure. Failure shows you the pitfalls on your journey. Passion is what drives you to continue moving even after the failure. But it is the Courage to even start your journey to success that takes you to that successful level. Have a great week!--O

Thought of the Week 11/9-11/15
Most people in life aim at nothing and hit it with exceptional accuracy... --O
It hit me this past weekend. Most of us spend our lives wandering aimlessly and have no idea where we are headed, then we are surprised that we haven't accomplished anything. One of the biggest obstacles in success is to make a goal and get started on it. Once you have a direction in life, it breathes energy into you and your endeavors. It's simple... Pick a direction and go for it!

" Strange thing about the rain... It reveals all of the leaks."-- Mary Ellen Smith
Thank you Mary Ellen Smith! It's strange how profound one simple thought can be. Its been said many a times about how the rain makes you appreciate the sunny days. But without the rain in our lives, we wouldn't even know where those problem areas are that need to be plugged. So even though those problems seem awful, be thankful for the rain, because without it, those problems may have grown bigger unrecognized. Have a blessed week...

Thought of the Week 10/26-11/1
Once you have flown, you will walk the earth with your eyes turned skyward for there you have been, there you long to return-- Leonardo Da Vinci
Oh what an experience it is to fly. Flying over the ground, you feel the peace and ease of moving across the world. Once you have flown, creeping along on the ground is never the same. To me, flying is like success. Once you have been successful, settling for an ordinary life is simply not an option. But while you have your eyes skyward, keep your feet planted firmly on the ground and you will find success.--O

Thought of the Week 10/19-10/25
"Accept people and situations as they are in life and then take action. The moment you do this, you'll see you are out of the confusion about anything in life." -- Sri Sri Ravi Shankar
I needed this thought this week. We spend so much time trying to change people in our lives, instead of accepting them as the creatures that God made them. It is not our job to change the people in our lives, it is our job to love the ones we choose, and let go of the others that don't fit into our world. It seems like a simple concept, but it is one I struggle with. Have a great week!

A mid week Thought
A good friend sent this quote to me, and I had to share it.
"We begin to find and become ourselves when we notice how we are already found, already truly, entirely, wildly, messily marvelously who we were born to be." --Anne Lamott
This is real interesting. People go on these journeys to "find themselves", when in all actuality all of the ingredients of you are in the mirror! We have all these gifts, and because they are wild and messy, we can't see them. We want our talents to be neatly stacked on a shelf, patiently waiting for us to come in and decide to use them. The reality is that it doesn't work that way. Our gifts are hidden under all that mess that we call life. So take a breath, dig through the mess and marvel at what terrific talents you have today.

Thought of the Week 10/12-10/18
Everyday we should come up with a new concept. If not, it means that we did not put forth enough effort.-- Author Unknown
I took quite a bit from this weeks thought. As we advance in our lives, we should constantly be evolving our plan. By making a new concept daily, it makes the plan refresh, not allowing boredom to seep in and complacency to exist. We are also looking a new options to get us to our destination quickly. Take a moment and conceptualize today.--O

A Mid-Week Thought...
Author Robert Crisp told a story once about a mangy dog that he had when he was a boy. His dog used to fight all the other dogs in the neighborhood and beat them. The dog was scrawny and malnourished, but was beating all of these big proud dogs. The other kids would ask Bob how his dog would beat up the other dogs. It was simple, by the time the other dogs would get mad, the fight would be over... His Dog was always mad!
I pulled a lot from this story about preparation in life. If you are faced with critical situations in life, then you need to be a lot more prepared to make things happen. I replace mad with prepared. We have to stay hungry in life and prepared for every opportunity. By the time the next guy gets prepared, you will have already won, because you were prepared!

Thought of the Week 10/5-10/11
"In order to achieve our big goals in the future, we must first achieve our small daily goals. So why worry about tomorrow when there is so much work to do today?"-- Jasper Tong
This one smacked me right in the face this morning. I have so many big goals that I am shooting for in my life, that sometimes I get bogged down in those dreams so much that I forget the process. You do have to keep your eyes on the prize in life, but it is the daily actions that we take that pushes us further to that prize. Take a few of those baby steps daily, and you will be surprised how far you travel.

World Champion of Speaking Ed Hearn told a great story this weekend: "There was a frog that lived in a hole. He played and splashed in his space. One day he looked up and saw the sky and jumped out of his hole. He began to play in a mud puddle. He enjoyed the fresh air while he played. Then he looked and saw a river. He frollicked and played in the river, loving all of the water. The river led to an ocean. He couldn't believe all of the seemingly limitless water. As he swam in the ocean, a shool of fish swam by. They asked him where he had been all this time, and he replied, I didn't know all of this was here..."
In a lot of ways we are like the frog. Comfortable in our own little hole, but never really looking up to see the huge world that is around us. How about just peeking your head out of that hole in your life and realizing the ocean of opportunites that are floating around us. You might just be surprised what you find... :)

Thought of the Week 9/28- 10/04
In life we are going to come to a point where we experience something we never have. Don't fear it, embrace it, because it may be just what you needed. -- Renee Scalfani
Having something new in your life really does energize you. Whether its a new work opportunity, a new possession, or even a new chance at love, there is something about new that pumps you up. I think it is key in life to look at things in your life differently, therefore keeping it new. There is always a way to keep your fires burning about something in your life. You just have to change your point of view....
Have a Blessed Week...
